Local communities have come together to support this year’s Great British Spring Clean.
The national campaign, led by Keep Britain Tidy, took place between 13 and 29 March.
Across the county, residents, schools, parish councils and volunteer groups organised 74 community litter picks.
In total, volunteers collected 956 bags of rubbish weighing more than 5,700 kilograms.
Items recovered included tyres, car parts, traffic cones and other fly-tipped waste.
In Tidworth, more than 100 volunteers joined a litter-picking event organised by the town council, collecting 85 bags of rubbish.
Volunteers in Cricklade gathered more than 100 bags across the town, while Malmesbury residents cleared five miles of roads and hedgerows in just 90 minutes.
Wiltshire schools also took part through the Great Big School Clean, helping pupils learn about environmental responsibility while tidying their local areas.
Wiltshire Council’s environment partner iidverde supported the campaign by providing equipment and helping collect the rubbish.
Councillor Ian Thorn, leader of Wiltshire Council, thanked volunteers for their efforts and said the campaign showed the strong community spirit across the county.
Including other litter-picking events held during March, a total of 94 clean-ups took place across Wiltshire, collecting more than 1,100 bags of rubbish weighing over 9,600 kilograms.
