Ofsted has confirmed a turnaround at Amesbury Primary School following an inspection in January that took the school out of special measures.
The school emerged from special measures with very significant movement to an expected standard across all 7 grading areas.
Under the successful leadership of Headteacher Rachael Rogers, this outcome has been achieved with the dedicated commitment of the whole staff team, supported by MLP and the local community.
Inspectors now describe the school as having a leadership team that acts with integrity and makes decisions in the best interests of pupils. It was noted that pupils are proud to attend, polite and respectful, and that staff have high expectations for pupil behaviour.
Inspectors noted that the school accurately identifies priorities for development and takes timely actions to ensure improvement. This has been driven by the effective leadership of Rachael Rogers and her team, with the additional support of the wider MLP Executive Team, its dedicated school governors, and trustees.
Ian Tucker, CEO of MLP, said, "I would like to thank everyone involved for their inspiring leadership and tireless commitment in guiding the staff and wider community to this positive outcome. Magna Learning Partnership is immensely proud to have supported Amesbury CE Primary School throughout its journey, and we look forward with great excitement to the next chapter in the school’s development.
"The school's commitment to the motto Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart is evident, with pupils and staff embodying the values of Ambition, Courage and Empathy in all aspects of their work… WE ARE ACE!"
