A brand-new community market will launch at Wilton Village this weekend, bringing a vibrant mix of local traders, artisan goods, food, and live entertainment to the area.
Our Local Market will take place on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th March, running from 10 am to 4 pm, with organisers expecting a busy opening weekend as a large number of stalls have already been booked.
Visitors will find a wide variety of traders, including food stalls, cakes, jewellery, clothing, gifts, wine and spirits sellers, along with a host of artisan makers and independent creators offering unique handmade and locally produced items.
There will also be live entertainment throughout the weekend, with performances from Bob Primmer, Simon Lane and the Sing for Fun Choir, helping to create a lively and welcoming atmosphere for visitors.
The launch falls on Mother’s Day weekend, and to mark the occasion, the first 80 mums who visit the market on Sunday will receive a free bunch of daffodils. Visitors will also be able to enter a free prize draw to win a hamper filled with products from market traders.
The event will be attended by the Mayor of Wilton Town Council, Councillor Chris Harrison, marking the official launch of the new market.
The market will take place within the attractive surroundings of Wilton Village (formerly The Guild) and aims to create a relaxed and welcoming space where people can browse stalls, shop local and enjoy a day out.
Visitors can also benefit from free on-site parking, making it an easy and accessible event for families and shoppers.
Following the launch weekend, further market dates have already been confirmed for:
• Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th April 2026
• Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th May 2026
Organisers hope the new market will become a regular feature in Wilton, supporting independent traders while creating a vibrant community event for residents and visitors alike.
