Detectives investigating the murder of Graham Pennycook in Ludgershall want to hear from anyone who saw two men acting suspiciously near the woods at Perham Down on the day he was killed.
Graham, 64, went out to walk his dog on Thursday 24th September and did not return home.
Sadly, he was found deceased in the woods near the polo field at Perham Down later that day and, following the outcome of a post-mortem, a murder investigation was launched with a cordon put in place at the scene to enable extensive search and forensic enquiries to be carried out.
Following enquiries by the Major Crime Investigation Team, police are appealing for anyone who was in the area near the polo field or the woods at Perham Down between 9 am and 6 pm on 24 September and saw two men acting suspiciously to get in touch.
Detective Chief Inspector Phil Walker said: “We are now four weeks on from Graham’s murder, but our commitment to establishing exactly what happened to him and who is responsible remains absolute, and our investigation continues.
"I am really keen to hear from anyone who witnessed two males that looked out of place, or were acting suspiciously, in the woods on the morning of the 24th September, especially between 10 am and 11 am.
"Did you see someone who looked out of place or was acting suspiciously?
"Have you seen this person, or these people, before?
"Do you know their name?
"Did you see any vehicles that were driving erratically or appeared in an unusual place?
"I am grateful for the engagement and support from the community, but I believe there are people who were in, or close to, Perham Down that have not yet come forward, and I would urge you to engage with our investigation.
"We know the area is a popular place to walk your dog, ride your bike or undertake other forms of exercise and the 24th September was no different. If you were there that day, and haven’t yet done so, please contact us as you may hold vital information. If you know who is responsible, you can help us seek justice for Graham’s murder.”
If you have further information which could assist the Wiltshire Police investigation, please contact them on 101 or leave information on this dedicated website.
