Flock of lambs stolen from field in Berwick St John

Wiltshire Police are investigating the theft of 40 lambs from fields in Berwick St John and are appealing for public information.

The theft of the 40 North Country Mule lambs is believed to have occurred between July 5 and August 31.

The lambs were stolen from fields above Norrington Farm, Berwick St John, alongside Old Shaftesbury Drove, an open, exposed hillside that is heavily walked and driven.

A police spokesperson said, "We would like to hear from anyone who may have information regarding the theft of these animals, any witnesses to them being stolen or any recent sightings of the flock.

"If you can help, please call 101 and quote crime reference number 54260107129.

"Alternatively, report information online -Tell us about a possible wildlife or rural crime | Wiltshire Police"
