Salisbury City Council is inviting people with a connection to Salisbury to share their stories for a special book, The People’s Story, to mark Salisbury’s 800th anniversary.
The book, to be published in 2027, will be a lasting collection of short stories from people who live, work, study, volunteer, or spend time in the city.
Stories could highlight a memorable moment, personal experience, community achievement, contribution to city life, hopes for Salisbury’s future or a reflection on what Salisbury means to you. Individuals, groups, and organisations may submit stories.
Submissions are now open, and everyone is encouraged to share their story by 1 December 2026. To submit a story, complete the form on Salisbury City Council’s Salisbury 800 webpage.
