Kidz Love Fit is bringing a new programme to promote healthy lifestyles to preschool children and their families in Bemerton Heath.
The free programme, backed by Salisbury's NHS Foundation Trust and Wiltshire Council, is designed by the team at Kidz Love Fit and Salisbury's Paediatrics team.
The aim is to educate the kids and their parents in a fun and engaging way with their three Happy Little Monsters.
The monsters are Kizzy, who represents mindfulness; Louie, who is all about moving; and Frankie, who loves munching.
The team runs drop-in sessions on Tuesday and Friday mornings at 9:30 am, lasting 45-minutes. There will be a 20-minute movement session at the sessions, followed by free play.
The drop-in sessions will be followed by a free 6-week course where kids and their adults will learn more about food and nutrition in a fun way, as well as exercise and mental health. In the hour-long sessions, they will learn through play about the difference between proteins, carbohydrates and vegetables and a balanced diet - with a focus on fun.
Participants will receive a free water bottle and a child-friendly plate featuring the Happy Little Monsters.
