A vehicle has been seized in Salisbury after accumulating hundreds of unpaid parking penalties.
Wiltshire Council says the car was linked to more than 140 unpaid parking charge notices under its current owner, totalling over £3,000.
Before that, it had been registered to an associate and built up more than 150 additional fines.
Investigators also found the vehicle had been registered using false details, including an address belonging to a legitimate business with no connection to the offences.
The seizure took place earlier this month as part of enforcement action involving council officers and enforcement agents.
The council says the decision was made to prevent further offending and remove what it described as a nuisance vehicle from the street.
Councillor Martin Smith said persistent non-payment places a burden on taxpayers and causes disruption for residents and businesses.
He added that the council is increasingly concerned about vehicles being registered fraudulently to avoid enforcement.
If the outstanding fines are not paid, the vehicle could be sold at auction to recover the debt.
The council is urging anyone struggling to pay parking penalties to contact them early to avoid further action.
