Closure order obtained for Tidworth property to tackle drug and ASB issues

A closure order has been obtained for an address in Tidworth following ongoing issues with anti-social behaviour, drug use and public order incidents.

PC Kinge and PCSO Kaur from Wiltshire Police attended Salisbury Magistrates Court on Friday (3rd July) and successfully obtained a three-month order for the address in Collins Court, Tidworth.

This means that no one other than the occupant and those named in the order, such as emergency services and housing association representatives, can enter the property.

Anyone found doing so will be committing an offence and may be arrested.

It comes after a total of 21 incidents and intelligence reports linked to the property since March 2026.

PC Kinge said: “In the last three months alone, police have been called to the address for a number of matters – many of which are linked to drug use, with various known drug dealers visiting the property. The anti-social behaviour and public order incidents are causing concern for those living nearby, and this will not be tolerated.

“The closure order will hopefully help put a stop to these problems, and we will continue to monitor it by regular patrols to ensure the terms of the order are being adhered to. If the problems do not ease, we will work with the Housing Association to find a longer-term solution.”
