Salisbury won away against struggling Walton & Hersham to make it 12 games unbeaten on the bounce after a stop-and-start game in Surrey.
The Whites started on the front foot, with striker Nathan Odokonyero latching onto two early chances, but both went wide.
The early onslaught didn't stop, however, as Jordan Alonge's free-kick attempt at the top of the box struck the wall, rebounded to Jeremy Sivi, laying a pass off to Ollie Morgan, who crossed it low to Luke Russe to tap the ball home from two yards out to give Salisbury the lead in the 12th minute.
The Swans replied quickly through forward Josh Ayres, as a similar cross led to a tap-in, but the linesman ruled the chance offside.
Brian Dutton's side, which made five changes from Saturday's last-minute draw at home against Dover, went into the break cautious but confident.
Salisbury quickly doubled their advantage in the 55th minute through top goalscorer Odokonyero after the skipper Josh Sommerton intercepted a poor pass into midfield, lined up a long-distance effort which was parried into the path of Odokonyero to place into an empty net.
Although the visitors were now cruising, the light at the end of the tunnel began to flicker somewhat as the floodlights went out with half an hour to go.

Despite fearing the worst, they eventually came back on, and we were back in action.
Walton & Hersham had another bite of the cherry in the 81st minute through Ayres, who rose highest to head an effort from a corner, but the linesman once again disallowed it after deeming the corner gone out of play and came back in.
With an understandable 11 minutes added on, substitute Jaiden Bartolo looked to make the most of the additional time, and the forward had a close-range chance in the dying embers, but the Walton goalkeeper saved it.
The win leaves Salisbury in fourth place in the league table, three points behind high-fliers Ebbsfleet United.
Up next for Salisbury is another away trip; this time they face Tonbridge Angels on Saturday afternoon for a 3 pm kick-off.
