Wiltshire Council has won a prestigious national recruitment award for the positive way it treats its job candidates.
The council won in the Overall Candidate Experience category at the British Recruitment Awards 2022.
The successful award was based on employee feedback shared via New Possible, an employee insight platform.
The awards aim to discover and celebrate the individuals and teams that are passionate about recruitment’s role in building a thriving organisation.
This year, more than 130 entries were received from organisations across the UK, with firms taking part ranging from start-up innovators to public sector organisations, tech superstars, global titans and everything in between.
Cllr Ashley O’Neill, Wiltshire Council Cabinet Member for Staffing, said: “Among really tough competition, we are absolutely delighted to win this national award. I’m proud to say that Wiltshire Council is an innovative, ambitious and forward-thinking organisation with a can-do culture that enables talented people to thrive.
“This award was decided based upon feedback from actual job candidates, so to get that independent recognition is testament to the work we put in to attract the best and the brightest to the council.
“A key aim in our business plan is for our organisation to be the highest performing council in the country and this sort of recognition shows we’re on the right path, which is all for the benefit of the communities we serve.”
