A new coffee bar has opened in Salisbury, with much to offer both local residents and visitors.
Cherrytree Coffee Bar on Mill Road is a new venture from the owners of Peartree Apartments which the new café is attached to.
A renovation of the serviced apartments was completed just as the pandemic started, so when restrictions eased, owner Arron Howle decided to make extra space for guests and the local community to congregate.
He said, “We liked the idea of interacting with the neighbourhood and guests more – something we hadn’t been able to do in a while. With Covid, interaction with the guests was reduced and a coffee bar gives them an excuse to come in and have a nice cup of coffee, croissant and chat with us!
“We’re also located just around the corner from the train station so we thought there must be some way to capture the visitor market and become a nice entrance to the city.”
Cherrytree Coffee Bar offers a premium experience, with hot and cold coffees, Frappuccino's, teas, wine, beer, ice cream and cakes. As well as an inside café area, there is also a large outdoor space where visitors can enjoy the summer sun.
Arron, Director for Salisbury BID, has made sure to use high-end coffee with beans sourced from Pact Coffee, a company that works directly with farmers to give them the best prices. He’s also got other local businesses involved, with delicious cakes coming from a local outfit.
The new venture may only just have opened, but Cherrytree Coffee Bar is already making sure it’s involved in city initiatives by taking part in the upcoming Taste Salisbury food and drink festival. From 26th August to 4th September, customers will receive 50% off all coffees, pastries and cookies.
Arron is looking forward to getting involved, “We can’t wait to take part in Taste Salisbury 2022! It comes at the perfect time for us. We’re looking for people to discover us, to raise awareness in the local community and this is an ideal opportunity to do that. We want this offer to encourage people to come into the coffee bar and help us establish the business in the area.”
Dan Collins, Business Manager at Salisbury BID, added, "The addition of Cherrytree Coffee Bar brings a new quality offering to Salisbury. It’s always good news to see a local business expand in this way, and put visitors and local residents at the heart of what they do. We are thrilled Cherrytree will also be involved in Taste Salisbury. It shows how local businesses are pulling together to create a great event for the city.”
Cherrytree Coffee Bar is open 8am till 4pm weekdays and 9am till 5pm on weekends. It can be found on Mill Road, Salisbury.
