Wiltshire Police are investigating a burglary at the Laverstock and Ford Sports Club.
This morning, Laverstock and Ford FC tweeted that the mower and some other equipment had been stolen. "Sadly, over the weekend, we had our ride-on mower & various pieces of machinery stolen from our club! Mower ‘14 plate. Parkway 2250+"
Other clubs, including Salisbury FC, responded in support, including an offer of help.
A police spokesperson said, "The incident is believed to have happened at around 3 am on Friday 9th February.
"Offenders have broken the padlock at the premises in Church Road and made off with a green Parkway 2250 Plus Tractor, as well as hedge trimmers.
"We are keen to hear from anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity at the site around this time – as well as anyone who may have CCTV, dash cam or doorbell footage from the area which could assist our investigation.
