Men Matters, a free event, returns to showcase the groups, activities and advice available to men across Salisbury

The event is informal and friendly, with free entry and no appointment needed. Friends and partners are also welcome to join, and free refreshments will be available throughout the morning.

On Saturday 10 October, Men Matters 2026 returns to Salisbury City Hall, bringing together organisations, groups and activities that can help men of all ages live healthier, happier and more fulfilling lives.

Hosted by Safer and Supportive Salisbury and funded by the Salisbury Area Board, the free event showcases the activities, clubs, sports, social and wellbeing opportunities available to men in and around the city.

This event is designed to support you in dealing with life’s worries and help you tackle things that may be getting you down, but it is also about opening up opportunities to make life more fulfilling and enjoyable.

Attending doesn’t mean something is wrong, just that you would like to see what else is out there for you, and Men Matters provides an easy, no-pressure way to find out more – without having to make a big commitment.

Belinda Chandler, Project Manager for Safer and Supportive Salisbury, said, “Men's wellbeing is about much more than simply dealing with problems when they arise.

"It's about having good relationships, staying active, feeling connected, having things to look forward to and knowing where to turn when life gets difficult. Over 200 men attended last year and benefited from the event, and many said they wanted it to take place again – so that’s why we are back”.

“Men Matters brings together a wide range of opportunities and support in one place. Whether you want to make a change, try something new or simply see what's available, we'd encourage men of all ages to come along. And for men who would prefer to read the information in their own time, there is also a directory of clubs, groups and services that can be picked up on the day and taken home.”

Men Matters 2026 takes place at Salisbury City Hall, Malthouse Lane, Salisbury, SP2 7TU, on Saturday 10 October from 10 am until midday. Entry is free.
