A man has died following a collision on The Avenue near Wilton this afternoon (2nd May).
At around 3.20 pm, a red Vauxhall Astra travelling towards Wilton was involved in a head-on collision with a white Mercedes Sprinter minivan travelling in the opposite direction.
The driver of the Vauxhall, a man in his 50s, was declared dead at the scene.
Wiltshire Police said, "His next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.
"The driver and two children on board the Mercedes have been transported to hospital with injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening.
"The road remains closed while enquiries are carried out.
"Any witnesses to the collision or anyone who may have dash cam are asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 01225 694597 quoting log number 180 of today’s date.
