A man has been charged following a serious collision on the A350 near East Knoyle on Saturday evening (4th July).
At around 8.45 pm, Wiltshire Police responded to a collision between a Vauxhall Corsa and a BMW.
The driver of the BMW, a man in his 40s, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Corsa – Brett Davidson, 67, of Salisbury Road, Blandford Forum – has now been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
He appeared at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court yesterday morning (6th July), where he was remanded into custody. He is next due to appear at Salisbury Crown Court on 5th August for a plea hearing.
PC Craig Beales from our Roads Policing Unit said: “This was a serious collision in which the victim suffered significant injuries, and Davidson has now been charged in connection with it and remanded into custody.
“I’d like to thank our colleagues from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary for their assistance in securing evidence.”
