A man has been arrested following a hit-and-run incident on Pembroke Road, Salisbury, on Friday (23rd September 2022).
Officers were called to the scene at approximately 11.45am following reports that a car had hit a pedestrian.
A man in his 40s suffered multiple injuries and was taken to hospital but has since been discharged.
The vehicle involved did not stay at the scene and enquiries were carried out.
Wiltshire Police said, "A man in his 60s was later arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent, causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving a vehicle which failed to stop after a road accident, failure to report an accident and using a vehicle without insurance.
"He has since been released under investigation while our enquiries continue.
"Anyone with information should call 101 and quote crime reference number 54220100394."
