Kludo is to reopen tonight after weeks of hard work in refurbishing the venue.
Despite previous reports stating that there was a substantial amount of money to carry out the refurbishments, things have been done on a low budget, boosted by a crowdfunding campaign, and the generosity of friends, family and local tradespeople.
Alex said via Facebook, "A massive thank you to all of my friends and family who have selflessly given up their time to help me transform the place in just 2 very busy weeks.
"To those who donated so generously to the go fund me page, helping me to replace the sabotaged sound system and carry out other vital repairs, I really do hope that I get the opportunity to buy each & everyone of you a drink to say thank you
"We will be open from 9pm on Friday, Saturday & Sunday with awesome DJ’s booked for all 3 nights. I can’t wait to celebrate with you all this fantastic bank holiday weekend!!"
The previous occupants trading as Kludo Inc went into voluntary liquidation following a long battle to stay open amid setbacks, closing the doors on Saturday, April 2nd.
