Salisbury’s annual Local Hero Awards recognises people who have made a positive contribution to our community.
This year’s awards will again be held at The Stones Hotel.
The event in September will recognise 10 people in categories such as Carer of the Year, Teacher of the Year and Lifetime Achievement. Each category is made possible with grateful thanks to local businesses for their sponsorship.
The Lifetime Achievement Award is sponsored for a second year by local window, doors and home improvement firm Cara Glass who have been trading in Wilton for over 30 years.
Last year’s Lifetime Achievement winner was Dave Cates for his ‘over 20 years of dedicated service supporting Salisbury District Hospital’.
Cara’s Business Manager Simon Futcher who visited Salisbury Radio’s studio recently said, “We’re incredibly proud to support the Salisbury Local Hero Awards again this year. It’s a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the people who make such a positive difference to our local communities, often without expecting any recognition in return.
“Every nominee has a story worth telling, and we’re delighted to play a small part in shining a light on the dedication, kindness and commitment that exists across Salisbury and the surrounding area. Community has always been important to everyone at Cara Glass, so being involved in an event like this is something we’re genuinely passionate about.”
Cara Glass which offers flexible finance options, helping homeowners spread the cost of improving their homes have been a sponsor of the event for two years.
The entire event is supported by headline sponsor A-Class Roofing.
