Wiltshire Council has held the first meeting of its new Sustainable Transport Forum.
The countywide partnership brings together transport operators, community groups, businesses and public sector organisations.
It aims to shape a cleaner, safer and more sustainable transport system across Wiltshire.
Discussions at the first meeting included plans for electric vehicle infrastructure, active travel schemes and improvements to bus services.
The forum will also support wider goals around road safety, public health, reducing congestion and tackling climate change.
Although advisory, the group will help inform future transport policies, funding bids and projects.
Martin Smith says the initiative is about working with partners to deliver better transport for the future.
Further meetings are planned as the council develops its long-term strategy.
