CUPP Bubble Tea is set to open in Salisbury this October.
The UK’s first bubble tea shop opened in Soho, London, in 2011. Since then, the tea-based drink has exploded in popularity, with shops found on high streets across the country.
Bubble tea is a drink from Taiwan that consists of tea, milk and chewy tapioca pearls which, when shaken together, form a bubbly foam. Known as ‘the drink that you chew’, the tea is drunk through large straws which allow you to chew the tapioca bubbles for extra flavour.
Now, Salisbury is set to get our own bubble tea store with CUPP Bubble Tea opening on Silver Street this October.
CUPP Bubble Tea began in Bristol in 2012. The founders lived in Taiwan and decided to bring the drink back to the UK by opening an authentic bubble tea shop.
The franchise now has shops in Cardiff, London and Slough.
