Officers are investigating a serious collision that happened on the A30 just outside Salisbury yesterday (15th September 2022) and are appealing for witnesses or dash cam footage to help with the enquiries.
At approximately 11.30am, a BMW and a Mercedes travelling in opposite directions were involved in a collision near the junction with Whiteway.
The driver of the BMW, a man in his 40s from London, sustained significant injuries and was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital. He remains in a critical condition. There were two other people in the vehicle at the time, but they were not injured.
The driver of the Mercedes was also not injured. Both vehicles sustained significant damage.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said, "We believe a number of drivers may have witnessed the collision who have not yet spoken to police. We would like to speak to these people and also ascertain if they have dash cam footage which could help.
"Any witnesses to the collision should call 101 and quote log number 113 of 15th of September."
