Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses following a disorder in Salisbury city centre during the early hours of New Year’s Day.
Two groups of people were seen fighting in Blue Boar Row at around 2.50am on the 1st January 2021. While nobody was seriously injured, officers have identified those involved. They will be spoken to by police in due course.
The police now need to speak to independent witnesses as part of their enquiries.
PC Mark Douglas, from the local policing team, explained, “We have watched CCTV footage from the incident and it is clear that a number of passers-by would have been aware of the disorder.
“We can see people waiting at a nearby bus stop, a man who attempts to intervene and break the fighting up, as well as cars that drive past while the incident is happening.
“If you were in Blue Boar Row at around that time and believe you have information which could assist us, then please get in touch.”
Any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage should call PC Douglas on 101, quoting crime reference 54220000065. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
