Witness appeal after assault leaves 12-year-old boy with a fractured jaw

Salisbury Police want to speak to anyone who witnessed an assault in Queen Elizabeth Gardens, Salisbury, where a 12-year-old boy suffered a fractured jaw.

It happened last Tuesday (31st August) at around 5.00pm when the victim was walking through the gardens with a friend when an older boy shouted over to them. The pair ignored him and carried on walking.

The older boy got ahead of the pair, stopped them and punched the victim in the face, causing him to lose three teeth and fracturing his jaw.

The victim and his friend don’t know the older boy and the attack was unprovoked. They describe him as 14 or 15 years old, white with a skinny build and short, dark hair. He was wearing a grey jumper and a gold chain around his neck.
