Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a 14-year-old boy was assaulted on a footpath behind Downsway, Salisbury.
The incident occurred between 7.45am and 7.55am on Friday morning (11th February 2022) on the footpath with runs from The Old Castle toward St Mark's School.
The victim was reportedly approached by an unknown suspect who has pushed him to the floor before holding his arms behind his back.
The victim, who sustained minimal injuries but was shaken by the incident, was able to free himself before running away along the footpath.
The suspect was described as white, approximately 5 foot 10 inches tall, skinny build and in his early 20s.
He was wearing a thin, dark green puffer jacket with the hood up, a black balaclava, black, knitted, fingerless gloves and black tracksuit bottoms.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said, "We’d like to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident or may have seen a man matching this description in the area this morning.
"We’d particularly like to speak to a man who was running in the area with their golden retriever who we believe was in the area just prior to the incident and may have information that would assist officers with their investigation.
