Maidenhead steal three points deep into the second half through a late counter-attack after the Whites scored within ten minutes.
Fresh off the back of a deflating last-minute penalty decision in Chelmsford, the Whites came out the blocks firing at York Road – making two changes to the starting eleven.
The first big chance of the game fell to the visitors, as Coppin slid in to tap home a low cross from Willard but it was narrowly missed by Salisbury’s top goalscorer.
However, Salisbury were able to stay on the front-foot and score the opener as Willard latched onto a rebound to tap home from the Maidenhead keeper after a strike from Hedges was kept out.
The chances started to dry up for the Whites in the opening 45 after the hosts wrestled to take control at home but solid clearances from Gbadebo, Revan and the like kept us ahead.
The visitors had the chance to double their advantage towards the end of the first half through Hedges after a half-volley whistled past the post.
But the Maidenhead pressure became too much for the Whites as the Magpies delivered a pinpoint cross which found its target in the box to head home the equaliser.
Second half action was rarer to come by from both sides yet Dutton’s side held the majority of possession.
Despite the efforts from Salisbury to find the winner in the match, the Magpies nicked the ball in their own half, launched a counter-attack and squared a cross to the substitute in the box to go ahead.
Salisbury now head back to the Ray Mac to face promotion-chasers Maidstone United.
