Salisbury returned to Wiltshire with all three points after a battling performance away at Chesham United.
Noah Coppin's goal from the penalty spot in the 85th minute was enough to bring the points back to the Ray Mac after a game of football which will soon be forgotten by many.
The first half was a fairly turgid affair, with neither keeper being fully stretched, and most of the game was played at a slow tempo on a pitch that caused players to slip and miscontrol the ball on regular occasions.
Salisbury had half-chances for Willard, Coppin and Taylor, but without really troubling Bed Goode in the Chesham goal. The hosts were also restricted to half chances, with a real lack of quality in the final third from both sides.
The second half saw the home side build some pressure on Will Buse's goal. Salisbury were forced to clear off their own line with 55 minutes played. Mitchell Weiss turned a long throw goalwards, but Salisbury captain Josh Sommerton was on hand to clear off the line.
Salisbury came the closest to opening the scoring in the 70th minute, when Noah Coppin connected well with an Ollie Morgan cross from the right. A full stretch Ben Goode got down to turn the ball behind for a corner.
The Whites (playing in all black) then had penalty shouts when Ollie Morgan was set free into the box; he fell under a challenge, but the referee waved away the Salisbury appeals in the 78th minute.
The referee awarded a penalty to Salisbury with 84 minutes played, after Noah Coppin went down following a clumsy challenge near the edge of the 18-yard box. Coppin picked himself up and stroked the ball home coolly from the spot. The goal, however, caused some confusion as it went straight through the back of the net - rightly, the goal was given.
Chesham pushed for a leveller, but again a lack of quality in the final third meant that they were unable to trouble Buse, and Salisbury left The Meadow with all three points to lift themselves out of the relegation places.
Up next for the Whites is a Tuesday (11th November) evening trip to north west London to face Enfield Town.
