Supremely confident yet warmly approachable, young boxer Aaron Lane, from Weyhill, near Andover, has his sights set on conquering the boxing world, and he’s doing it with the backing of Andover firm Correct Contract Services (CCS).
Earlier this year, at the Manchester Box Cup, Aaron made a statement when he stopped an opponent from a weight above in emphatic style before narrowly losing to the reigning National Champion by split decision. A result that clearly didn’t sit well with him.
Aaron claimed the bronze medal at the Nationals, then unleashed a blistering nine-fight unbeaten streak. His growing reputation has made it increasingly difficult to secure bouts, with many opponents taking the “smart” option of avoiding entering the ring with The Beast.
Next up, Aaron is targeting the Riviera Box Cup, which will be on Sky Sports. Heading to Devon brimming with confidence, he’s convinced he can take the title. Charismatic, professional, and polite, Aaron has the gift of the gab that great boxers are known for. When the time comes, he will turn that charm into sharp, confident soundbites, making him more than ready for the TV spotlight.
In September, Aaron has a chance to settle old scores at the Nationals. This time, he’s stepping up from the junior ranks into the seniors, but he’s unfazed. In fact, he’s relishing the challenge of facing older, more experienced fighters, with every intention of striking gold on his senior debut.
If all goes to plan, a shot at the European title awaits. Which is to be contested in Sweden against other national champions. Beyond that, Aaron has one eye firmly on the biggest stage of all, the Los Angeles Olympic Games in 2028.
Aaron understands that while his confidence is justified, the senior ranks demand constant growth. He’s determined to keep learning, absorbing every lesson from his coaches while staying hungry and disciplined. As he puts it, LA 2028 could align perfectly with his peak as an amateur, and if he makes it to California with Team GB, gold will be the only goal.
His proud mum, Claire, watched on during the photoshoot and interview outside the CCS headquarters. She knows as well as anyone how hard her son works.
CCS Managing Director Danny Gladwyn has made it clear that his support for Aaron is here to stay, even joking that as Aaron rises through the ranks, “the cheques will only get bigger!” As a boxing fan himself, Danny knows the grit, discipline, and sacrifice needed by Aaron to reach the top.
Danny said, “I believe that Aaron has so much potential. I have sparred with him a few times, and I’ll be honest, I could hardly get near him. He’s a great talent with the right attitude. Aaron knows there’s a lot of hard work still to come and that there are major challenges ahead. His natural confidence means he’s willing to face this head-on and will never shy away from it.
“It was an easy decision to support a young fighter like Aaron. What better message is there to send to our staff than the hard work and determination that he displays? He’ll put in the time, work with his team and get the results he deserves. I want CCS to be there with him all the way.”
