The funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will be live streamed at Salisbury Cathedral at 11am on Monday 19 September 2022.
The Cathedral will be open from 09.30am and the Books of Condolences will be available if people wish to pay their respects. All are welcome to join.
The Dean of Salisbury, The Very Revd Nicholas Papadopulos said, "Screening the funeral within this sacred space offers an opportunity for the community to gather, along with people from across the country, to seek consolation, to give thanks for all that the Queen has done for us and to remember the Royal Family at this sad time.”
The Funeral service will be shown on a large screen and seating will be available in the Nave. All those wishing to come to the screening should enter via the North Porch.
The Refectory restaurant and shop will be closed.
A special service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will also take place at 4.30pm on Sunday 18th September.
Here, people from all over Wiltshire can come together in the Cathedral to remember the Queen’s reign, give thanks for her life and pray for King Charles III. The Bishop of Salisbury, The Right Revd Stephen Lake will preach at the service, which will also be live streamed.
Doors open at 15.45 and everyone must be seated by 16.10. The service commences at 16.30.
