At around 10.15am today (1st November 2021), a Waste Care HGV became stuck under the A36 bridge between Waitrose car park and Central Car Park in Salisbury. The road has now been cleared and is open again.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said, “At around 10.15am today we received a call about a heavy goods vehicle stuck under the A36 in Salisbury, close to Waitrose.
“We have contacted National Highways for them to attend and assess the road.
"Officers are currently in attendance to assist with traffic management.”

Wiltshire Police have confirmed that the road has now been cleared and is completely open.
