Wiltshire Police have arrested two people following excellent work by our Roads Policing Unit overnight regarding a stolen vehicle.
Police said in a statement, "At around 3.50 am this morning (21/04), we received a report of a vehicle being stolen from a property in Ross Road, Ludgershall, while several other vehicles were tampered with and had items taken from them.
"Roads Policing officers located the vehicle – a grey Vauxhall Insignia – travelling eastbound on the A303, where it failed to stop for officers.
"A pursuit was authorised and lasted a few minutes, before the stolen vehicle crashed at the junction for Barton Stacey in Hampshire.
"The driver, a 21-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, failing to stop, dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, and driving without insurance. He was further arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class B drug after cannabis was located in his possession.
"The front seat passenger, a 15-year-old boy, was also arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.
"We are keen to hear from residents of Ross Road, Ludgershall, and the surrounding area, who may have seen or heard anything unusual last night, particularly relating to discarded property, missing property from vehicles, or vehicles that have been looked through.
"If you can help, please contact us on 101 quoting reference 54260047111."
