Following the success of CPR and defibrillator training sessions held by Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service earlier this year, one has now been organised in Tisbury.
Anyone interested in learning more about CPR and how to use a defibrillator can attend the fire station in The Avenue at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 28th.
The free two-hour session will be led by a DWFRS casualty care trainer, supported by firefighters.
You will also have the opportunity to tour the fire station and learn about becoming an on-call firefighter in Tisbury.
Station Manager Brady Morris, who manages Tisbury Fire Station, said: “With more and more defibrillators now installed in publicly available places, our aim is to give people the confidence to step in if they see someone collapse. These sessions have been extremely well received elsewhere, so we look forward to welcoming lots of people to gain this potentially life-saving awareness.”
He added: “Tisbury firefighters have a vital role to play in keeping the local community safe, so this session is also a great opportunity for anyone interested in joining our on-call team to have a chat with the crew about what the job involves.”
