The top senior golfers in England are currently competing at High Post Golf Club to decide the outcome of a prestigious national title.
The long-established English Senior Women’s Amateur Championship started at the Wiltshire venue yesterday (9th May 2022) with golfers competing until Friday (13th May 2022).
The women’s event will see two days of stroke play with the top 32 qualifiers proceeding to the match play section of the championship where they will compete for the Wendy Taylor Salver.
The players with the 16 lowest scores after the stroke play rounds, who are aged 60 or over on the first day of the championship, will qualify for the match play stages of the Ann Howard Trophy.
Aldeburgh’s Fiona Edmond (pictured above) has returned this year to defend the trophy she won last year at Market Rasen Golf Club.
Club Manager, Geoff Johnson MBE commented, "The whole of High Post Golf Club is excited to be hosting the event, raising the profile of the club and bringing high-level competition standards to the club again whilst promoting women in golf."
