Salisbury Hospice Charity has extended heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in this year’s Santa Sleigh Run.
Thanks to the incredible investment of time, effort, and enthusiasm from the whole team, the event was a resounding success, raising £7205.46 for Salisbury Hospice Charity, an increase of almost £3,000 on last year’s total.
Beyond the funds raised, the Sleigh Run brought the community together, filling the streets with Christmas spirit and joy. The dedication of all those who took part has made a lasting impact, spreading warmth and festive cheer throughout the area, with thousands tracking the sleigh via the Salisbury Radio website.
The six-day event brought joy to people of all ages, in Salisbury, Amesbury and many surrounding villages. The Santa Sleigh Run started in the Idmiston area many years ago and has expanded each year thanks to the team's enthusiasm and passion to date.
Many businesses supported the group, including Ozweld International, Porton Garden Aquatic and Pets, Vizual Koncept – The Snow Bar, JST Electrical – Jon Tribbeck, South Coast Plumbing, Terraform Events – Chesney, AQ Wiring Systems Rockford and Bookers.
Tamsin, Community Fundraiser of Salisbury Hospice Charity had the following to say, “We are incredibly grateful to the whole team who contributed to making this year’s event so memorable and impactful. The dedication, hard work and tremendous enthusiasm shown by each and every one of them is truly admirable. Thank you again for making this year's Santa Sleigh Run such a huge success and bringing much festive joy to the local community.”
