
The Mayor and Mayoress of Salisbury will attend the Gala Dinner and VIP event to celebrate Salisbury’s local heroes as we come together to celebrate some fantastic people from across Salisbury, South Wiltshire and West Hampshire.
Entries have now closed and the judges are hard at work sifting through the dozens of entries as Salisbury Radio, together with the Salisbury Journal, set about recognising some amazing people in and around Salisbury who have done extraordinary things.
Headline sponsors Jones & Co, together with many local companies including Parker Bullen, Cara Glass, and Five Rivers Fostering, look forward to welcoming the invited finalists to The Salisbury Local Hero Awards being held at The Stones Hotel on Frida,y September 12th in the presence of the Mayor and Mayoress of Salisbury Councillor John Wells and Mrs Josephine Wells.
Ten Awards will be presented on the night, including Child of Courage, Charitable Company, Fundraiser, Good Neighbour, Employee Supporting Charity, Teacher, Bravery, Lifetime Achievement, Community Project, and Carer of the Year.
Organiser Ceri Hurford-Jones said, "This year’s event has only been made possible thanks to the amazing support of some of Salisbury’s most considerate and community-minded local businesses, including: Grist Environmental, The Stones Hotel, Northwood Estate Agents and A Class Roofing."
He concluded, "I can promise that the award ceremony will be a night to remember, where nominees and winners will be rightly recognised for their unassuming commitment to making our community a better place to live, work and play.’
