Salisbury Racecourse is in the Top 10 racecourses in England & Wales.
The award for ‘Raceday Experience' in 2023 is part of the Racecourse Association’s, Quality Assured Racecourse Scheme (QARS).
Other racecourses in the Top 10 include Aintree, Beverley, Chester and Haydock Park.
Salisbury was assessed at its ever-popular Ladies’ Evening event in July which featured the 'Ultimate Party Band'.
Salisbury Racecourse Marketing & Communications Manager Emma Tranter told Salisbury Radio, “We were delighted to have been awarded an overall score of 86.79% when we were assessed by VisitEngland, at Ladies’ Evening last year.
“What made it even more pleasing was that the evening itself had extremely strong winds, which presented a number of operational challenges.”
The QARS were established in 2013 and are carried out annually. Assessments analyse all aspects of the customer experience including pre-raceday information, the ticket buying process, the on-course experience, including all areas of customer service, as well as post-raceday communications.
Emma added, “Our focus now is very much on the season ahead which starts on Sunday 5th May. Tickets went on sale recently and there’s lots more information about our 2024 race days on the website”.
Events in May this year include May Bank Holiday Weekend Family Race Day on 5th May and Evening Racing and Club Classics with Salisbury Radio's Disco Dion.
