A man from Salisbury has been charged with two counts of rape, GBH and ABH, after being extradited from Spain.
In December 2020, a woman was found after she had fallen from a second-storey window in Catherine Street, Salisbury, suffering numerous injuries. She reported that she had been raped.
Another woman from the UK reported being raped by a stranger while in Prague, Czech Republic, in May 2023.
Scott McKenzie, 35, previously of Gainsborough Close, was arrested in Barcelona in December 2024 for those offences and has been returned to the UK, where he has been charged.
Yesterday (19/03), he appeared at Salisbury Magistrates Court and has been remanded in custody until April 16th when he is due to appear at Salisbury Crown Court.
