Salisbury FC has announced that its first-team players and staff will head to Kuwait for an in-season friendly.
They will depart the UK on the 27th September until the 1st October, after the Folkestone Invicta fixture, and before our FA Cup 3rd Qualifying Round against Dulwich Hamlet at the Mac.
The club says this overseas trip is the biggest commercial opportunity in its history, with 100% of commercial profits coming into the club and 100% of ticket sales heading back to Salisbury.
The club said, "We are playing a friendly match against Kuwaiti Premier League side Al-Qadsia at the Mohammad Al-Hamad stadium on the 30th September, one of the biggest teams in the country, having won 58 domestic titles in their history.
"All players and staff are extremely enthused for this opportunity, not only for the club's sake, but to experience playing and coaching in different surroundings.
"We have been given full written permission by the English FA and the Kuwaiti FA to travel.
"Salisbury FC are very grateful to Al-Qadsia for welcoming us to their home.
"There will be a multitude of updates of our trip on all our social media channels throughout the four days away."
