Salisbury City Council is seeking volunteers to assist at ‘Our Community Café’.
The café, run by the Salisbury City Council Communities Team, is open every Tuesday from 10am to 2pm at Salisbury Baptist Church on Brown Street.
It provides free light refreshments and an affordable lunch, as well as regular events and activities in a warm, relaxed, and safe space for all.
Volunteers assist with serving refreshments and lunches, clearing tables, and helping with end-of-session clean-up.
Volunteers may also occasionally support the kitchen team, so a current Food Safety and Hygiene certificate is desirable but not essential.
Volunteer hours are flexible and can be arranged to suit individual availability.
The café welcomes a diverse group of residents, including Salisbury Pantry members, individuals who are often socially isolated, and anyone in the community seeking conversation, company, or connection.
Local organisations and volunteers are also available to offer support, guidance, and signposting to provide further assistance when needed.
If you are interested in volunteering, contact the Salisbury City Council Communities Team via email at communities@salisburycitycouncil.gov.uk or phone at 01722 417100.
