Salisbury Choir Festival returns to St Thomas's Church

On Saturday, April 25th 2026, St Thomas’s Church and Kate Edgar Music are hosting their third Salisbury Festival of Choirs at St Thomas’s Church in the heart of Salisbury.

Salisbury has always been a centre of musical excellence. In recent years, the rise in the popularity of choral singing has seen many new choirs spring up in the area. And there’s a choir for everyone – from church music to rock and pop, via folk and traditional music, to choirs who just love to belt out a showtune.

Come and enjoy a day of choral singing with performances from eighteen choirs, including the Cathedral Youth Choir, St Mark’s Primary School Choir, Salisbury Plain and Tidworth Military Wives Choirs, two sea shanty groups, and rock, pop and community choirs, and celebrate the amazing variety of choral talent in our area.

The festival runs from 10 am to 8 pm. Entry is free, with refreshments available all day, and a retiring collection in aid of Salisbury Hospice Charity and St Thomas’s Church. Last year’s festival saw over 2500 visitors and raised nearly £8000. Come and be entertained by some amazing choirs, and maybe even be inspired to join one!

This year’s festival is once again sponsored by Parker Bullen Solicitors. The festival is curated by Kate Edgar, who runs six of the featured choirs. Kate is an Olivier award-winning musical director and composer for several children’s television series. Her music has also featured in many Salisbury Playhouse productions.
