A man who targeted a woman from Amesbury in a romance fraud has been jailed.
Simon Turner, aged 49, was sentenced to 10 years in prison at Reading Crown Court.
He admitted fraud and theft offences committed between 2024 and 2025.
Police say he met the victim online and built a relationship before repeatedly asking for money.
Over time, he took nearly £30,000, claiming it was for vehicles, holidays and other expenses that never existed.

The victim later discovered he had previous convictions and had been living in a caravan.
Wiltshire Police say the case highlights the emotional and financial harm caused by romance fraud.
Officers are urging people to be cautious when forming relationships online and to report any concerns.
