Plans for 406 new homes on the edge of Salisbury have been approved.
Wiltshire Council backed the Vistry Homes development off Netherhampton Road.
The scheme has faced concerns over traffic, infrastructure and developer contributions.
Councillor Pauline Church says nearby villages could see more congestion — with too little investment.
Highways officers raised no formal objection.
The plans were approved by the Strategic Planning Committee.
