The Salisbury, Wilton, and District Fundraising Branch has announced that Peter Sparkes, the new Chief Executive of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, will visit Salisbury.
Mr Sparkes is coming to Salisbury on Thursday, 13th March, to speak about his plans for the future of the RNLI.
Following the highly successful RNLI 200th anniversary events in 2024, Peter will explain how he hopes the organisation will develop as it enters its third century.
The talk will take place in the Red Lion Hotel, Milford Street, Salisbury, as part of a joint event with the Blue Peter Yacht Club.
The event starts at 6:15 pm with the short Annual General Meeting of the Fundraising Branch and will last about an hour.
Organisers said, "This is one of Peter’s first talks directly to a local fundraising branch, and we are very privileged that he is coming to Salisbury.
"This event is open to the general public as well as existing supporters of RNLI."
Anyone intending to attend the talk are asked to contact the Branch Chair, Ray Stedman, raystedman@btinternet.com, 07900 493215 by 6th March.
