A well-respected and much-loved Vet, Adam Sheridan, announced last week that he was leaving his former practice after a "difference in principle" between himself and the owner.

Since then, Adam has received hundreds of messages and comments on social media, sharing love and support for the work he has done with their pets.

He was also encouraged to set up a crowdfunding page to support him in founding a new practice to continue caring for pets in South Wiltshire.

He said on the GoFundMe page, "Although most of my equipment I took with me, I still have much left in the old place, waiting room furniture, metal tables, washing machine, wall art my bed so that I could stay with patients over night etc… So I have some things to replace, and I also have a few things to obtain for the new practice, x-ray unit, kennelling, autoclave, and there will be renovation work to do in any premises."

Since setting up the page, it has received hundreds of donations, from just a few pounds to donations in the hundreds and even thousands of pounds in value.

Adding an update to the fundraising page over the weekend, he added, "Well you have all made a grown man cry, I’m am so thankful to all of you. As we build this I want all the feedback I can on making everything perfect for you and your pets."

The fundraising continues, with Adam needing to purchase all the equipment needed to set up a veterinary practice from scratch - https://gofund.me/a575f214c
