Take your gaol cell seats at Live Escape Rooms Salisbury’s Music at the Tavern evening this Saturday, 18th June 2022.
The escape room company are hosting their first themed evening event at their 14th-century venue in The Cross Keys Shopping Centre.
Owner Claire Pitcher said, “Having completed the build of The Brig escape room, we had many of our teams tell us that just enjoying a drink in our pirate tavern would make for a unique experience. So we took them at their word and have opened the cell doors to welcome those who love themed, live music events.”
Claire and her husband Charlie Pitcher, as well as their musicians, will be dressed as pirates and locking up guests for the evening.
“We’re used to dressing up,” says Claire, “We don our pirate costumes to welcome all those who come to play our escape rooms. Most people are quite taken aback when we open the door and we look like buccaneers.”
The music evening will see local singer Rachel Delooze performing with guitarist Samuel Bird.
“They both have exceptional voices. This will be an acoustic performance of well-known songs by artists such as Ed Sheeran, Damian Rice, Taylor Swift and George Ezra, to name a few.”
Saturday night will be a ‘closed door’ event, with only 20 tickets (costing £25 each) available.
“We are almost sold out,” says Claire. “It promises to be a small and intimate affair with table service by the pirate staff.”
“This will be the first of many events we hope to host at our historical venue here in the city. We want to expand our offering from not just escape rooms, but children’s events, interactive local ghost stories, medieval evenings, mixology and of course, more music.”
