Wiltshire residents are encouraged to make the most of two free apps – Libby and Solus – which make it easier than ever to access library services on the go.
The Libby app has a great selection of eBooks, audiobooks, and digital magazines that members can read or listen to from their phone or tablet for free. The Solus library app lets users search the catalogue, reserve and renew items, check their account and get updates – all in one place.
Cllr Mel Jacob, Deputy Leader of the Council and Cabinet Member for Communities, Engagement and Corporate Services, said: “These apps make it really easy to use our library services – you don’t need even need to remember your membership card. You can borrow books, reserve titles and explore our digital collections straight from your phone. It’s all about making things simple and accessible for everyone – whether you’re using our mobile apps, visiting a local library, or receiving books through our home library service.”
Thousands of Wiltshire residents already use the apps, and library staff and volunteers are on hand to support anyone who needs help getting started.
You must be a member of the library to use the app. Joining the library is free and easy. People can visit their local library or sign up online at https://www.wiltshire.gov.uk/libraries-join-the-library
