The Liberal Democrats won all three local elections held yesterday (Thursday, 8th June) with commanding wins.
Amesbury Town Council now has two new Lib Dem Councillors, with Laura Knight winning Amesbury South with 77.4% of the vote and Andrew Lord obtaining 66.5% to take the seat in Amesbury West.
In Tisbury, Richard Budden is the new Wiltshire Councillor for the area after picking up 66.97% of the vote.
All three seats were a straight contest between Liberal Democrat candidates and those from the Conservative Party.

Cllr Victoria Charleston of the Liberal Democrats said, "The stunning victories in Tisbury and Amesbury yesterday once again show that people across Wiltshire, in rural and urban areas, are rejecting the Conservatives in their droves.
"People are sick and tired of ineffective Conservative rule at all levels of government and know that it’s time for a change.
"Only the Liberal Democrats can take on the Conservatives in Wiltshire, winning three seats at the same time and win by such margins."
