Large crowds enjoy the first Live at the Park

Salisbury residents came out in their numbers to enjoy live music, food and fun at Victoria Park on Saturday.

The musical lineup featured a mix of local talent, both emerging and established and a trio of fantastic tribute bands.

Salisbury Radio's Craig Hicks provided the tracks between the acts and compared the event, keeping the atmosphere going.

Food from the Chickpea Group and Charter 1227 saw loaded Mac 'n' Cheese, Pizza, Fried Chicken and Greek Souvlaki, which kept the revellers in energy alongside local brews from Rude Giant at the bar.

The kids zone had enough to keep the kids entertained and handed out more balls on springs as prizes than you can imagine.

The music was the main focus, though, and none of the acts disappointed with stand-out sets from Brodie Risby, The Helmets and Corellian before the tribute acts got going.

Little Mix Show were up first and delivered an energetic performance alongside some great vocals; they really got the crowd involved during their set.

One Step Behind belted out a set of ska classics with plenty of skanking going on in the crowd, who all thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Finally, it was Fleetingwood Mac's turn to take the to stage - classic Fleetwood Mac tracks, with a slight modern twist, carried over the field at Victoria Park as the finale turned into a rousing sing-along.

Organisers, Salisbury Live and The Immersive Group, put on a great event, which many hope will be back next year.
