The 11th annual Fabulous Family Fun Day, kindly sponsored by Ozweld International, was held at Salisbury Rugby Club on Saturday 10th May.

With the sun shining brightly and spirits high, this much-loved community event once again brought local families together to raise vital funds for Salisbury Hospice Charity.

The day, held in memory of Lyn Futcher, offered a packed schedule of entertainment, including a Football Tournament and a lively Touch Rugby Tournament, generously sponsored by Adam’s Autos.

The music stage kept the energy high with wonderful live acts performing from midday until 9.30pm, offering entertainment for all ages and contributing to the vibrant atmosphere; LUMP closed the evening with their popular locally based songs. The beer tent remained bustling, with attendees eager to try this year’s specially selected beers while soaking up the lively vibe.

Once again, the raffle proved a major highlight, featuring a top prize of a holiday to Turkey for four, kindly donated by Beyaz Villas.

Meanwhile, the arena featured live performances from many local talented groups, culminating in a performance by the fantastic Phoenix Stars. Children enjoyed a wide variety of activities, starting with DJ Kev and the Radio Odstock Community Team’s Mini Disco, followed by popular parachute games, bouncy castles, and circus tricks—keeping young visitors entertained throughout the day.

As the event continues to grow in both size and impact, Salisbury Hospice Charity extends a special thank you to Johnsons by Stalbridge, who returned as the event’s Eco Sponsor, supporting the ongoing commitment to sustainability.

Salisbury Hospice Charity is so grateful not only to Ozweld International and our other wonderful sponsors, but also extends heartfelt thanks to the Fabulous Committee who work so hard to organise the event, Salisbury Rugby Club, raffle prize donors, performers, supporters, dedicated volunteers, and everyone who came along to join the fun. Your efforts made this amazing result possible.

Greig Futcher, Chairman of the Fabulous Family Fun Day Committee, said: “I am really pleased that the FFFD continues to bring local people together to have fun and raise vital money for Salisbury Hospice. I would like to thank the fantastic committee and the hospice charity team for their support.”

Tamsin Murley, Community Fundraiser for Salisbury Hospice Charity, added: “We continue to be deeply humbled by the incredible dedication and hard work of our outstanding committee—Greig, Sarah, Spencer, Sam, Clare, and Jason. Their commitment is truly inspiring. We are also immensely grateful to Ozweld International, Salisbury Rugby Club, and everyone who supported this event in so many ways.

All of our specialised services are provided at no cost to those in need. Our ability to continue this vital work relies heavily on the generosity of people in our local community who organise and support events such as the Fabulous Family Fun Day.”

Funds from this year’s event will go directly toward supporting Salisbury Hospice Charity’s mission of delivering free, compassionate care to individuals and families facing life-limiting illnesses.
