In need of a good laugh? The Winchester Gate has got you covered.
The pub and entertainment venue has announced monthly comedy nights in The Tent, kicking off with Laura Lexx on Tuesday 3rd August 2021.
Every first Tuesday of the month will see a jam-packed evening of laughs with both established and up and coming comedy acts.
After being awarded a Cultural Recovery Grant from the Arts Council, the team at the Winchester Gate has created a purpose-built multi-arts performance space. It is described as a fun circus-style amphitheatre that will bring a wide selection of arts to the local community.
Warming up the crowd is the fabulous Hetty Austin. Awarded Best Comedian of 2019 by Guide Awards, her set will cover everything from the perils of being a hairy woman, to romance and video games.
Sunjai Arif will bring his silly take on all aspects of modern life, and Duncan Adam, who has been making waves on the South Coast comedy circuit is a sharp writer with brilliantly dry wit.
Doors will be at 7pm with comedy kicking off at 7.30pm. Tickets are £6adv or £8 on the door.
